Subject	Offset question

Message	I know this has prob. been answered but for some reason i just dont understand Rim and tire sises ... my question is that i have 17 x 8 with 1 +41 offset and im wanting to put 245/40/17 on the rims and i dont know if im going to have the tires rub. if someone could help me understand rim and tire sizes better it would be great (im dumb so you'll have to explain it in stupid people terms) also could you guys tell me if the tires will rub or give me some suggestions?
